How to facilitate breathing, after a car accident

After a car accident, one or more persons can have respiratory problems. So, it is very important to know how you can help them.
After the car accidents happen, you have to examine the airways of every person. Breathing can be checked by placing your fingers in front of the nostrils.
If the airflow is absent, you have to examine the mouth and the nose, checking if there are any objects that can obstruct breathing: dentures, mud, rocks or anything else.. Also, broken facial bones can block the entry of air into the lungs.
You can also examine if breathing is present by monitoring movements of the chest or by using a stethoscope (if you have one). If the victim is not breathing, you can help him or her with artificial respiration.
You have to put the victim on the floor and to open his (or her) mouth. Then, you put a handkerchief over the victim's mouth and you start a mouth to mouth respiration – the rescuer making a seal between his mouth and the patient's mouth and  „blowing“, to pass air into the patient's body. This will be repeated 12 times a minute.
Of course, special aid is promptly recommended. Before anything else, call 112. And, for you car, call to a Car breakdown recovery
